I met Guruji in California and just at that initial connection I could tell that he was somebody with so much knowledge and someone who was willing to share and really guide me in my hunger for this music.
I have never experienced anyone who has such a gift of giving you that understanding of music.
Studying with Guruji is an exciting and amazing path to be on and I'm very grateful.
For me it's been a spiritual journey with Tusharji from the first day. It was a miracle witnessing a new composition being created in front of me, which is a result of the influence of his gurus and years of learning, and by teaching me that composition I also became part of that process. I felt like I was witnessing something divine, this journey of music has been so beautiful and it continues.
When I first reached out to Tushar bhai, little did I know what this experience would turn out to be. My original thought was to learn 'light music' from him as I was very sceptical about my own ability to do justice to classical music, more so because of my heavy work schedule. Tushar bhai convinced me that I should learn classical and I now think that it's the greatest gift he has given me. Learning from him is such a joy! He is patient, empathetic and always encouraging. Every little moment spent with him is precious, and his 'on the spot' compositions make each student feel so special. He is also a very unusual and modern day guru because he understands how to deal with students from different walks of life and different lifestyles. For me, in my hectic and stressful corporate life, these few hours with him every week take me to a different mental space, where I soar above the humdrum into the realm of pure joy - the joy of learning. I shall forever be grateful to him for this precious gift. I could not have asked for a better guru. May God always bless him.
